Hi Daddy- Happy Fathers Day! I wish I could be up in Canada to celebrate with you today!(or you down in SLC) Here is a post for you.
For those of you who don't know my Dad...
His name is Brett. He's a Lawyer.(the picture above is him graduating) He lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He lives in the home that I grew up in. He visits all his children a lot. He has 6 kids, 5 kids-in-law and 4 grand kids. He likes the outdoors. He goes kayaking, hiking and bike riding. I've been kayaking with him down the Bow River in Calgary.
He likes to ski, and I like to ski with him.
He sends me funny forwards and inspirational stories. He loves to read and has a big collection of books, of all sorts.
He and I have even been on the weather channel together!
He is always there for me. I can call him and get advice whenever I need. He's supportive in what I do and understanding in everything I don't do. Whenever I'm in town, he'll put off anything to spend time with me. He tells me all about his dating life. He said yes to Chase when Chase asked if he could marry me, and he made my dream wedding possible!
When I was young, I loved to do errands with him because after, we'd always stop at Wendy's and get a frosty. When I started ninth grade, back when I lived in Canada, he would drive me to my early morning seminary class, every day at 6:30 am and often, afterwards, drive me to school after that so I wouldn't have to take the bus. The first time I snuck into a movie was with him. We paid to get into one and when it was over we decided to just stay and go into another movie, haha. I moved back in with him one summer when I was in College, and he would again, drive me to work(at the Rockyview Hospital) every morning at 7am.
My dad is great- I always have the best time with him, often we end up lauging together! Have a great day dad!
Love you Dad!
